About CHUMS.

CHUMS is a Child Bereavement, Trauma and Emotional Wellbeing Service delivering services promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing. CHUMS receives 2,300 referrals each year across Luton and Bedfordshire. Our facilitators have extensive experience of supporting children, young people and families through loss and bereavement

Introduction to Loss and Grief.

This is an introductory day which incorporates understanding the theoretical framework around loss and grief in children and young people as well as giving participants an insight into how they are personally affected by loss and grief.
Participants will gain some understanding of how to support children using creative and age appropriate activities. The day will enhance professional confidence when speaking to children about death and other losses.
